Nice, wide open meadows line the road to the park.  Pronghorn Antelope and Mule Deer can be seen....

Here it is!  GC North Rim! 

Thrilling.  Unsettling.  Breathtaking.  It actually looks quiet.  It's hard to reconcile with your brain that what you're seeing is actually real and there (until you peek over the side of the path -- then it's real!!).  The mountains on the distant horizon are the San Francisco Peaks in Flagstaff.

BRYCE CANYON NP -- 6-11-2012

We are all filthy from riding the ATVs.  Those pictures aren't digital.  If anyone ever wants to see another of our vacation pictures, ever, we'll get them out!!!!

Shameless Ravens.  They pick the dead bugs out of the grills of cars that pull in to the scenic overlooks.  They're amusing, though.

Surprises everywhere -- natural arch, framing a pine canyon view.

I am so grateful he walked ahead at the Grand Canyon.  This was giving me an apoplexy, and though the canyons were steep, it was still nothing like the GC.
